The right model: Master Plan 1 (2018-2024)

We started out moving cargo on AirAsia passenger planes, eventually filling more flights to more lanes. As the eCommerce boom drove up volumes exponentially, we inducted three freighters and established a global network of partners to meet the demand — which in turn ensures we always have shipments to fill planes.

  • Teleport consolidated all six AirAsia AOCs into a single, connected air cargo network and earned exclusive commercial rights to move cargo in AirAsia’s passenger plane bellies.

  • Our air cargo business funded the build of our eCommerce delivery infrastructure. We expanded this to include the cross-border eCommerce market in Southeast Asia, by air — this is now one of our core operational capabilities.

  • The combined growing cargo and eCommerce volume triggered the need to inject freighter capacity into our network. Our three A321F freighter aircrafts Awan, Pari and Bei Long have since increased agility and control in our air network and capacity infrastructure. Complementing them is our over-growing fleet of partner aircraft around the world.

We expect to close 2024 with record revenue: 50% growth YoY.

Positive EBITDA turnaround

Teleport’s EBITDA went up by 134% from FY 2023 in just 9 months in 2024.

Volume increase

As The Teleport Network grew, so did our volumes. We delivered 44% more cargo volume YoY in 2024.


What’s next?

We’re going full speed ahead on the #RoadTo2Million. With speed, value, and an unmatched network, we’re setting new benchmarks for frictionless logistics in Master Plan 2.

  • We’re scaling parcel volumes to meet rising demand from China to and through Southeast Asia.

  • Expanding strategic partnerships with major airlines in Asia Pacific, Oceania, and the Middle East allows us to grow first-to-last-mile coverage without adding to our fleet.

  • By developing and integrating the right tools and systems, we are strengthening end-to-end technology to enable faster deliveries — as quick as next day — while also making them more affordable and reliable.

Who’s leading the charge?

Pete Chareonwongsak

Chief Executive Officer

Pete spearheaded Teleport's transformation from AirAsia's logistics arm to a disruptive digital venture. Besides being the youngest member of the AirAsia Group Executive Leadership team, Pete was also responsible for the successful turnaround of AirAsia Philippines.

Pete graduated from the University of Cambridge — where he was a Cambridge Overseas Trust Scholar — and earned his Master’s Degree (ALM) in Finance from Harvard University. He was recognised as a ZICO ASEAN 40 under 40 Honoree for his work addressing a trend or challenge in the ASEAN countries.

Craig Matthews

Chief Business Officer

Craig is a hyper-versatile finance leader with 18 years of extensive finance experience, including 13 years at ExxonMobil. He is adept at building culturally diverse teams with a proven track record in the UK and across Asia.

Craig holds Master’s degrees in International Business and Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
